The Tournament Details are quite extensive, but reading and understanding them is quite important. Tournament attendees are responsible for knowing the rules so please take the time to read through the slides below.

MoreSwiss Tournament Details
Triple Elimination MoreSwiss Tournament
- The Winner is defined as the last person remaining with fewer than 2 losses. MoreSwiss rounds continue until there is only 1-person remaining with 0 or 1 loss.
- Once you lose your second match you can no longer win the tournament, but you can still cash.
- Once you lose your third match you are eliminated.
- A maximum of 15% of the Open Championship field will cash (if we have a 64-player field a maximum of 9 players will cash)
- A maximum of 20% of the Intermediate field will cash (if we have a 32-player field a maximum of 6 players will cash)
- All Matches are played on Heroes3.BackgammonStudio.com
- You must remain in audio contact at your assigned Zoom Breakout Room for the duration of your match.
- Please be respectful of your opponent. Refrain from playing loud music and have minimal background noise during match play. Game sounds should be turned off.
Tournament Flow
Triple Elimination MoreSwiss Tournament
- Round 1 Flexible Scheduling: The Round 1 default start time is 5:00 PM on Thursday May 13th. If that is not a convenient time you may contact your opponent and attempt to reschedule. However, the match must completed by 10:00 AM CDT Saturday May 15th. If the match is played after the default starting time, the winner must contact the Tournament Directors via email to report the win.
- By the scheduled start time for each round, the pairings will be posted on MoreSwiss.com
- No log-in is necessary, just select “Pairings” from the menu bar (top left)
- Select “2021 Beale Street Blues ABT Online” Open or Intermediate Division from the drop-down list
- Press the “Get Latest Pairing” button
- Parings are read from left to right
- Locate your name and your opponent’s name from the pairings list and note your table number
- Return to Zoom and meet your opponent in the Breakout Room that matches your your table number from MoreSwiss.com
- Both players should proceed to Heroes3.BackgammonStudio.com and navigate to the External Tournament Room "BSB MoreSwiss OPEN" or "BSB MoreSwiss INT"
- Either player may challenge their opponent to begin the match
- Winners will report their victory by returning to the main "Zoom Tournament Lobby" and typing into the "chat window" that you won the match vs "Your Opponent's Name"
- About 5-10 minutes after the winner reports the win, they should return to MoreSwiss.com and click “Standings” from the menu bar
- Select “2021 Beale Street Blues ABT Online!” Open or Intermediate Division and click “Get Results”
- Winners must validate the win was recorded properly. Contact a tournament Director IMMEDIATELY in the Zoom Tournament Lobby if the win was not recorded properly. If accurate, no need to respond.
- If it has been more than 10 minutes since you reported your win and it has not been recorded on MoreSwiss.com please confirm verbally with the Tournament Directors
Tardy Policy
- If your opponent does has not shown up within 5 minutes of your scheduled start time, please contact the Tournament Directors in the Zoom Tournament Lobby
- In case of late arrivals
- The first penalty point will be issued 10 minutes after the official start time has passed
- Additional penalty points will be issued every 5 minutes thereafter
- Once a person receives penalty points equal to 50% of the match length the match is forfeited.
